Diaper is not as wet in the morning

Hello Moms,



I have a 15 week old exclusively breastfed baby. Normally baby girl wakes with a very HEAVY diaper in the morning. The last two days she has been waking with diapers that are just slightly damp. Is this normal? Is she starting to eat less at night and more during the day? Anyone had this happen?

It is normal!  I believe it is part of her body getting older and more used to day/night cycles.  4 months is when most babies start to get "older" sleep habits so it does make sense.  As long as she is still eating fine and seems to be growing and happy and healthy and having enough wet diapers during the day, it's not a problem. 



If you are feeding her on demand during the night, she may be just suckling a bit for comfort instead of hunger so definitely might be eating less during the night.  Again, that's her body adjusting to deeper night sleep.
