Have half a beer, and put that baby back on the boob. Pumping does not work as well as babys! Drink tons of water, sleep everytime baby sleeps, and eat well. Sleep with baby during the day with skin to skin contact.

For me, pumping was torture, this is what worked for me... Fenugreek 4 per day, Milk Thistle 4 per day and lastly prescription domperidone 10 mg tablets - 2 tabs 4 times per day. This is how I sustained my supply pumping every 3 to 4 hours during the day and every 5 to 6 hours during the night - for more than 3 months. Good luck!

Eat oatmeal once a day and drink lots of water. It sounds funny, but I swear it worked for me. Steel cut oats work best, but regular oatmeal works ok too.

I have used Mothers Milk Tea with all three of my kids and it always ups my supply within a few days of drinking. I am able to find it at my local grocery store in the organic isles.

I have started to see a Nauturopath regarding my problems producing breastmilk. (My baby is 7 weeks so we`ve been dealing with this for a while) Some of the foods she suggested where Oats, barley, peas, legumes, almonds, walnuts and Nettle tea. I am also have acupuncture done. I have also been on a prescription (I think it`s Domperidon). And of course pumping! :) Good luck.

Pump pump pump as everyone says... pump for 10 minutes after the flow stops, and then expresss manually as much as you can after the pump stops drawing out your milk. Take Fenugreek and brewer's yeast, eat steel cut oats in oatmeal (not the instant rolled oats). I take 3 fenugreek capsules 3 times a day (giving me 1500 or so mg per dose).
I also (baby is 2 days from being 1 year old) started domperidone because my supply at night dropped to a point baby was getting very little and I couldn't pump more than 1 or 2 oz from both sides together. I am now in the process of reducing my dosage to a point where I'm not producing milk to the point of pain.

are you trying to pump?
or do you just feel empty?
even if you feel empty you are not, but if you are trying to pump, pumps arnt designed as good as babys are to get milk out, so you may feel you have ran out.
fenugreek suppliments work for a lot of people to boost there supply. expressing regularly helps. i found hand expressing better than a pump. i pumped before baby fed because i was unable to get any out afterwards

Pump, Pump, Pump!! That helps a lot!! After your little one breastfeeds, pump so that you are completely emptying both sides. Hope that helps!!
