So my princess is just about 4 months and EBF. I'm returning to work in a few short weeks and have started trying too establish a good supply for daycare and getting her used to a bottle,. After buying 4 differet types of bottles we found one she would take. Next step getting enough pumped milk for a feeding. After 3 days I finally squeezed in enough time to get 3.5 oz of pumped milk.

So i put it in a breastmilk bag in the back of the fridge waiting for the perfect time to break it out for a daddy feeding. 2 days later i get 2.5 oz and do the same thing.

A couple days later that time comes...I have to go grocery shopping....no problem daddy breaks out the bag of milk. I get him and he says she used the bottle as a paci, like she does me and only took a half ounce. The next day I'm cleaning and see 2 bottles of BM with barely an ounce out of them. I ask him about it and he shrugs and says oh I didn't put the other bottle bag int eh fridge so I just pulled out the new one.

I want to scream....DO YOU NOT REALIZE HOW HARD IT WAS TO GET 6 OUNCES OF BM.

Instead I snap, what do you think I am a factory that it just ends up int eh fridge on its own, that its so simple to pump with 4 kids and cooking and cleaning to do.

He gives me this sheepish look and just blinks...then I realize I have to explain how much breastmilk is like liquid gold.

LOL

Now he knows...as soon as shes done put it back in the fridge.

That pretty much sounds like my husband. I only work weekends, so he is home with Bryce. I pump before I leave, so that usually produces one bottle, then I take one out of the freezer. He always uses the fresh one first and since Bryce doesn't take the bottle all the time, I usually come home to find the freezer one still in the fridge. For about the past month I have been having to throw away bags of milk. I tell him, use the freezer ones first!!! But he won't. Sigh. I told him, again, yesterday how important that milk is. My frozen supply is running low, so now I pump once a day, and I don't want to see it get wasted. Sigh. Men. I hope this doesn't happen next weekend. I hope your bf keeps up the good work. :)
