Drinking from a bottle

My son is four months old and I have been breast feeding him the whole time. In the beginning I was giving him breast milk in a bottle occasionally. It became easier for me just to strictly breastfeed. I have tried giving him a bottle of breast milk recently and it is a struggle to get him to drink it. Even if he is very hungry. I am going back to work VERY shortly and he will need to be used to a bottle by then. I have tried different style and shapes of nipples, silicone and laytex and he stuggles with every one. I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

I only used my breast for a long time as well. Each night I would give my baby 1 oz in the bottle just to work on it. By the end of the month he took the bottle with no problems. So just work on it. I use the Nuk, he has no problems going from breast to bottle and back. Hope this helps.

He can have expressed milk from sips out of a cup or have it spoon-fed to him, or even fed through a syringe.
