Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could give me any advise on perhaps changing position to reduce gas in a breastfed baby. We have tried all kinds of things and still my son cannot feed for more than a couple of minutes without stopping due to gas pain. I have tried different kinds of gas relief drops - Little Tummies, Mylicon, Gripe Water - and herbs but still no luck. I have noticed that if he is a little better if I try to feed him in a more upright position but maybe it's my imatination. Any suggestions?

It is true that if you feed baby in an upright position it reduce intestinal issues. My daughter went through this and was colicky but now that I think back, it seems that it only lasted 2 or 3 months. And once they can sit up, alot of it stops. Also try laying baby flat on the back after feeding and "bicycle" the legs, this will help to release the pressure.
