I have read on some previous posts about the herb Fenugreek for decreased milk supply. Honestly, I didn't really pay attention because I was producing enough to feed a small army. But, I returned to work 2 weeks ago and now am pumping 3 times/day and nursing my son only in the morning. I have seen a huge decrease in my supply. Any info that you can give me about Fenugreek would be great. How much, when, etc. I found it at a local drug store. Thanks.

I also had low supply problems I used fenugreek at first 3 pills 3x a day and it helped at each pumping session before I would get 1/2 oz and it went to 1&1/2 oz but it didn't quite satisfy my baby and I had to top off with formula then I got healthy nursing tea and I went from 1&1/2 to 3&1/2 oz.

I would love to be able to nurse more but I work 7am-7pm. My son is just waking up as I walk out the door and is already in bed when I come home :( And he hasn't fed at night since he was 6 weeks old (he is 6 1/2mo now). He is starting to decrease his milk intake a bit and increase his solid intake, but he is still up around 24oz total throughout the day and I am not quite making that much. I was making 30-40oz each day until this week. I really don't want to go to formula.

Ditto Celeste. Also, is there any way you can add more nursing sessions? Does your baby nurse in the evening or overnight? Also, be sure to nurse as much as possible on your days off.. nursing is much better for your supply than pumping.

Take 2 tablets when you wake up and a few threw out the day, If you think its working but not enough try Mothers milk tea's also!
