Fenugreek- or other suppliments to BOOST milk supply

Has anyone used fenugreek to increase their milk supply? I am having my second baby via c-section next Monday and I had a low supply with my first daughter and I want to boost the supply this time before it gets low. I have heard fenugreek works well and wondering if anyone has had success with it? I'm open to other options as well, but help is needed. =) Thanks

I take fenugreek you have to take like 5 or more pills a day. My lactation consultant said you know you are taking enough when your pee and sweat smell like maple sugar.
I also make the breastfeeding cookies that they have recipes for online. They taste great I double the brewers yeast and add 3 cups extra of the oatmeal.
Oatmeal, brewers yeast, and chicken noodle soup also help in lactation.
I had issues when I went on an antihistamine so I have tried everything lol. My favorite was the mother's milk tea if you can stand licorice tasting tea, I had to pump within an hour of taking that.

ive read lots of women on here that have had succes with fenugreek. Alsoe sure make sure you are getting enough calcium and magnesium in your diet or through supliment. its what i use to keep me on an even keel when aunt flow comes around and my supply would take a nose dive. hasnt since with the calcium magnesium.

if you really do have supply issues i have also read that a prescription for domperidone helps your milk supply tremendously. eating oatmeal helps some as well. but you ahve to eat a fair bit, regularly

Keep nursing your LO. Stay hydrated and drink Healthy nursing tea for better milk supply.

the fenugreek worked well for me! i took 3 pills 3x a day of the highest mg type and my god did it work! hahahaa my husband would jokingly tell me i am going to overdose and explode! i'd tell him it works good but not to that extreme. lol
