Hi! My baby girl was born 8 months ago, and I've been breastfeeding her on demand since then. I also have been giving her solids as well for a few months. (I'm not on birth control because we would love to have our children close together.)

Anyways, in November I started having cramps like my period was about to return. In December the same thing happened...I also started being bloated. Still nothing! I took so many pregnancy tests (like seriously lol )--even though I really didn't think I was pregnant but I just had similar symptoms to the ones I had when pregnant with my daughter.

January was pretty chaotic, the cramps, the sore breasts, the fatigue...still no period. :) I just told myself that it was going to happen whenever and to be patient. On February the 15 there it was...good old cervical mucus!! A lot of it!! Had on the 16th too, and a little on the 17th. It was nothing like the "similar to cervical mucus" I've been having since I gave birth.

I had cramps too, and well, my libido was insane! :) The good thing is we had intercourse the 14, 15,16 and 17. (sorry if tmi!!) We are both hoping that it worked! I even read that there were ways to make sure it's really cervical mucus ( I guess you forget after a while...) and mine was clear and very stretchy--stretched it a few inches--, and when I dropped some in water in formed a ball and just floated around. It did not dissolve.

It's like suddenly those old symptoms that I had forgotten about came back and I still knew what they felt like. :) I'm praying it works!!!!! We would love our daughter to have a little brother or sister. ♥

Share your stories about your second, third or whatever pregnancies, I would love to read them!!! :)

Thanks for your reply! I can't imagine how awful it must be to miscarry.. :( But I am very happy you're pregnant with number 2, that's great!! :) I am confused when it comes to my situation...I read online that your body can produce cervical fluid that is fertile, but if your lactation hormones are stronger --let's say you breastfeed a lot for some reason again right before you ovulate--it can suppress ovulation, even if you body was gearing up for it. Wow..! I don't know what to think, I tested this morning (I think I'm around 12 dpo, IF I ovulated -_- )
and it was negative...

For the last 2 days my breasts have been really sore, and feeding my daughter is not easy anymore, especially at first, but then it passes. I also feel really tired. We'll see, maybe I ovulated and I'm not pregnant...or maybe I am. I'll test again in a few days!

I am so excited for you! That is great, I hope you are pregnant!
I know what it's like to want another baby and have to wait for it. The first time around I got pregnant the same month we were married!
I got my period back at about 5 months ppt but I guess I wasn't ovulating, because I just got pregnant the first time a month ago (baby is now 14 months old). We have been trying for number two for about 6 months now. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and now I am pregnant again. I am hoping that I will not have another miscarriage!
Waiting the four weeks to take a pregnancy test was like torture!!! I think I have spent about $100 on pregnancy tests over the past 6 months! Those things aren't cheap :)
