I took my hospital tour last night and they suggested we bring nursing bras to the hospital. How am I suppose to buy one now when my breasts will likely change once my milk comes in? I also am not too keen on having to drag my few days old baby out shopping for bras so does anyone have any tips for figuring out what bra size you need once that happens so I can send my mother to get one. I plan on getting the $10 bras from Walmart. Right now I am in a 40C which is my pre-pregnancy bra size and am 37 weeks pregnant. I have been told my cup size could double or triple. should I expect the number to jump also? This is so frustrating :(

I think you can buy nursing bra / maternity bra at https://www.shyaway.com/nursing-bra-online/ because it is having 40C and larger than this cup also. So you can use the larger size also.

Personally I would skip the nursing bra all together for the first couple of weeks.  Motherhood maternity has great nursing pajamas!  I have 3 pairs and lived in those for like the first 8 weeks, I know, I know, 8 weeks, but It was very very hot in Az and I was not going ANYWHERE!  I would wait to get a bra until your milk has come in, go to motherhood maternity and get a FITTING!  The walmart bras are good for being at home, but if you are planning on nursing for a while the bras at motherhood are what I would recommend.  Good Luck with your delivery!  Its so exciting!

I would suggest that for the hospital you bring a sleep bra - it's very forgiving in terms of size. And then a week or so after your milk has come in, go and get fitted for a nursing bra. And you'll probably need to get fitted again after you've been nursing for a while and have lost some weight.

Knowing what I do now, what I'll do different next time is that I will buy a couple of extra sleep bras for those first few weeks (I lived in my pajamas anyway and those bras were way more comfortable). And next time I'll probably get a few more everyday bras, too.

I went to buy nursing bras a few days before I had my little girl. I went to Motherhood Maternity and they measured me there and the bras still fit! I'm not sure how it is with everyone, but my boobs didn't seem bigger, just rounder in shape afterwards! One of the bras is even too big in the cups now, 7 months later!
