How long did it last? How old was your baby? What was the reason? Did you successfully nurse after the strike? If so, for how long?

My son went on a nursing strike when he was about 8 months old. He'd bitten me twice while nursing, and the second time I yelled out, because it hurt like the dickens. He wouldn't nurse while he was awake, but he did dreamfeed, so I got milk in him that way, and also by pumping and bottle feeding. Luckily, the strike only lasted about 24 hours. One time, he just started nursing again, like nothing had happened. He's still nursing at 14 months.
Just keep offering the breast as often as s/he seems to be hungry, eventually your baby should go back to nursing. Another thing I've heard recommended is to run a warm bath, and climb in there with your baby. The warm bath is supposed to help relax you both. You'll want to pump or hand express during the strike, so your supply doesn't go down.

I haven't had one myself but I have heard others say you can end it by putting something tasty on your nipple... I have heard of people using various breakfast spreads!
