This also does depend on the mom. Some moms have higher-lactose milk, which spoils sooner. For those moms, Medela's pamphlet in my pump bag recommends scalding the milk before freezing it.

The hospital I delivered at gave me a magnet for the fridge that says frozen milk, stored properly (they recommended the lansinoh bags), is good up to 6 months. I'm using my supply from July/August now too and it is fine.

At WIC our handouts say just like Laura did, 3 months freezer connected to a fridge, 6 months in a deep-freezer.

I used mine up to 6 months and it was fine. A few bags smelled funny so I tossed them. I think it was because I left them in the fridge too long before freezing. My DD would not drink them if they were bad. She would refuse the cup.

6 months is the frozen shelf life of breast milk. Use within 24 hrs of thawing. You have a wonderful weekend too :) xx

Deep freezer can go up to a year. Just smell/taste it if you aren't sure.

just double checked the lansinoh, bags, they say in a freezer below 19 degrees, it can stay fresh for longer than 6 months if properly stored. just fyi.

stored in the proper bags, in a deep freezer the milk will last 6 months, in a freezer attached to the fridge, 3 months. rest assured that if the milk has spoiled, your baby wont drink it. i am currently using my pumped supply from july as well.
