Does anyone know of any fun groups or activities (either free or inexpensive) to take a baby to? My son is 3 months old and I am looking for maybe a music group or playgroup for his age or a little older. I live in the metro Detroit area (Michigan) & am a first time mommy so I am not aware of anything fun to do with my little guy. I know things to do at home...I am looking for places outside of the house. Thanks!

Have you looked into the YMCA? They usually have a mommy and me class for each age group

My Gym or Gymboree are national chains I believe, you might find something there. There's also lots of music programs, I just can't think of any of the names! Try googling it. I'm looking for the same thing, but I live in Yorktown, VA and everything I've found is in VA Beach (45 minutes away, too far for me to go by myself). But some things I started doing with my son at that age (he's 7.5 months old now) were going to pet stores and looking at the fish and going to the Living Museum over here. It has fish and critters native to this area and lots of things to touch and look at. He loves it! I know it can get a little boring being couped all day with a baby!

I'm in the UK but I googled "detroit mom baby groups". There were many other pages too but I'm not sure exactly what you're after.
