Yup I agree definitely try the SNS. Watch diaper count, if baby's getting 6-8 (no matter content) then baby's getting enough..

That is what the lactation consultant suggested when I was in the hospital said! I didn't think I would need to....I'll look into it thanks for reminding me! :)

You can do it! Another suggestion would be to get a supplemental nursing system to supplement at the breast. That way you can do away with the bottles for now. This will make sure you baby is getting what they need and stimulating your breasts to make more milk at the same time.

Thank you!!!! I don't have a thyroid so I've had a low supply from the start but I'm going to take the herbal supplement and drink some tea, pump and nurse and see if I can get back on track. I'm not sure she'll latch after being so used to the bottle.... but I'm definitely going to try! Thank you so much!!

You you can! The best thing to do is nurse, nurse, nurse! Let the baby do the work. After 9 days I'd be surprised if your milk was totally gone just low. If you have a pump I would highly suggest pumping between nursing sessions. http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/low-su...

If you get sick again and are for what ever reason are not allowed to nurse (a LOT of meds are breastfeeding compatible. Doctors don't know which are and which are not but your pharmacist should and can help you and your doctor pick the best one for your situation) you should try to pump to keep your supply up. http://www.kellymom.com/health/illness/i...
