Eliminate one feeding at a time if you really want to wean, once you've started to eliminate that feeding you are going to have to adjust your schedule, like avoid being where you would normally feed. So for example if you normally feed him on the couch you probably aren't going to be able to sit on the couch for awhile.

I have heard of people throwing a party to celebrate the end of breast feeding, not a huge thing but just immediate family, some cupcakes, let him nurse one last time, say goodbye to the boobies, and give him a new stuffed toy or comfort item. then when he wants to nurse remind him that hes a big boy and he had a party and give him his comfort item and a sippy cup of milk.
