Ok, so my son is almost a year now and I am wanting to wean him off the breast, but he refuses a bottle or sippy. Is there any kind of sippy that may work better, or should I just start giving him a cup (supervised, of course!)?

I have heard that sippy cups and bottle past a certain age can affect speak and other development.
My 7 month old drinks from a sippy cup and a regular cup. (supervised, of course!)

Have you tried a straw? My girls both loved cups with straws. They make spill proof sippy cups with straws. Or yes, just start giving him a cup. The sooner you start with that the sooner he'll learn to use it without spilling. My 17 month old just loves to use a real cup with no lid. And she's pretty darn good at it. I still use sippy cups when going in the car, but at home she uses a regular cup.

My son has never had a bottle or a sippy we went from breastfeeding to a small plastic open cup. He is 2 and now and is perfect at not spilling or making a mess and can hold a cup and walk around. Most of his friends are still on sippy cups and always spill when they come over because they cant drink properly from open cups.. I big believer in no sippy cups! :)
