I also found the "Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" put out by the LaLeche League (found a couple of copies in my library) quite helpful with a lot of situations that I had trouble finding the information on for myself

check out The Nursing Mother's Companion by Kathleen Huggins (20th Anniversary Edition (c)2005)...better yet, The Nursing Mother's Guide to Weaning by the same.
