How many times a day do you feed solids to your 6 month old?

I think my Alexis eats solids alot more than any other babies here. She has cereal in the morning and before bed, and i give her fruits and vegetables once to three times during the day. I have to admit though, if i'm lazy or she's sick or we're travelling, she gets all boob all day, and that throws our sleep schedule off but it can be fixed after about a week..I have no idea how much of each she goes through. Like..a 1/3rd a cup of cereal in a day and half a jar of food in total per day. I feed her till she turns away and top her off with boob. She still nurses to sleep though.

I have been told boob first then offer food because your LO is filling up on solids and this could decrease ur milk supply over time.
My LO was eating about 1/3 to 1/2 a CAN (can is 110grams here) at 6 months but over two feeds, lunch and dinner , but soon increased over time now at 10 months he eats:
1x wheat biscuit made with soy milk (my LO is allergic to cows milk)
1x toast lighty toasted
100-150gram Fruit puree
1-2x bread with vegimite, no crust
1-3 rice/water cracker
150-200 grams vegetables or meat and veg either cut very small or pureed
I know my baby is older but i hope that helps u in some way, i had the same problem not knowing how much to give him

Solids at this age are for play, not nutrition. I wouldn't give a baby that age more than 2 meals a day.
Both my babes started eating around 7-8 months and it was only what they could feed themselves. I gave them whatever we were eating, just in smaller bites. IMO, babyfood is a waste of time and money.

My daughter is 7 months now and eats whatever i'm eating whenever I eat it, usually 3 meals and several snacks a day. At the moment she still gets most of her nutrition from my milk, but she has started to chew and swallow. I find that way a lot less time intensive than making purees and trying to get them into her.
