How often does your baby poop?

My baby was having bowel movements everyday until he passed 2 mths. Now he sometimes goes as long as a week! I've heard that breastfed babies are rarely constipated but is this normal?

that same thing happened to my baby when he was about 4 months old. He was going every feeding it seemed and then all of a sudden stopped. My dr told me that its fine... as they get older thier digestion slows down... its not bad unless they strain and nothing comes out or if they have hard balls when they finally do go. I still get nervous about it some times so on the 5 day i usually give him some apple juice mixed with water. it usually gives results that same day

Totally normal. My friend's bf baby often goes for 2 weeks at a time. My boy usually every 2-3 days. All variations of normal.

Just because they aren't pooping doesn't mean they are constipated. Just to relieve you a bit. A lot of times how they act is a good indicator of whether or not there is a problem BUT
