How to transition breastfed baby for Daycare? He will be 11 months old then.

My son will be 11 months old when he starts Daycare and has not taken to a bottle very well as I had exclusively breastfed him with the exception of introducing solids.

We have tried water and juice in a sippy cup and he will mostly play and bite it rather than drink from it without a lot of coaxing, and the amount would not even amount to 1-2 ounces a day.

Was hoping not to have to pump at work, so I am going to try to pump in the morning and after he goes to bed for the night and hope that I can pump 8 oz or so to bring to daycare in hopes he will drink it.

Any suggestions as I was hoping to transition him to Homo milk slowly so that he will be drinking it by 1 year old too.

First for problem with bottles, have you tried first years breastflow? The nipples are made to simulate breastfeeding even has a letdown feature. You can read reviews on amazon. If you haven't already u can try having your partner or other caregiver offer bottle once a day when your not there or at least in another room, you may have already tried that

Have you already started pumping? Most women get 1/2-2oz at a time. Check out kellymom.com. Also if u work 8 hrs you should at least pump once, remember milk supply works on demand. If your body believes your baby doesn't need to eat for that long it well produce less milk. This may be less of a problem for you since your son is nearly a yr and eating solids. My LO is 13wks, I pump 3x while at work and 2-3 times at night to be able to bring 24oz (i have an over supply and avg 3 to 4 oz per pump) to his grandmas house.
