Has any mom that is nursing had to fly with their pumped breast milk?? How do you store it after it is frozen and travel with it?? Did you have to check it or could you carry it on?? ( My baby is not going with me, but I want to bring back anything I pump and freeze)

Thanks in advance for help!!

I don't think they'll let you carry it on with you if your baby isn't with you. See if you can find dry ice and pack it in a cooler in your suitcase and check it. If it is mostly melted but still cold you can still refrigerate it and then use it. If it's still mostly frozen you can still put it back in the freezer.

you should probably check it and keep it in a zippered cooler/lunchbox. make sure its frozen when you put it in, but if it melts you can't re-freeze it so you might have to dump it all anyway. :(

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

carried it on. when i went i asked about it [and pump. hand pump ok on plane, other one will take you forever to get through security. motor, box, could be bomb blah blah ] - but they told me there wasn't a limit on ounces. i only had a shorter flight and was within 6 hours of home so i just pumped and bagged and tra la. not sure about freezing etc. ???? my baby was NOT with me. But they knew nursing mommas gotta either pump n dump or save. Call the airline you're going to use. they'll give you all the info ahead of time you'll need. Each airline may have different rules.
