I've been trying to wean my baby off of breastmilk, but he won't hear of it. Anybody else have this problem and how were you successful?

Breastmilk (or formula) should be your baby's main source of food for the first year... so you shouldn't be weaning him at 6 months.

6 months is young for food (as they are just starting out therefore cant be expected to be eatting much of it), and very young to be ween from the breast. Do you plan on switching him to formula (I notice you didnt mentioned formula at all just soild foods).

That is helpful, thanks! I also can't get him to eat regular, pureed, food. We tried bananas and green beans, but he doesn't like it. He cries when we try to feed him that instead of breastmilk.

my son is just getting used to one feeding a night and he is 14 months old. a girl told me to mix whole milk with my milk and gradually to get used to the taste and it helped now my son is drinking the other milk and i only feed him once at night hope it helps good luck its not easy
