I breastfed my son for a little over a year and it was great! I never had any problems and my son is now 3 and very healthy. I knew I wanted to breastfeed my daughter as well. She is 2 1/2 months old, but she was eating almost every 30-45 minutes. We visited family and had to take a very long car ride, so i got formula to help make the trip easier. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, but I noticed a difference in her right away. She ate for a longer period of time, and wasn't hungry again for a few hours. She stayed awake longer, and seemed so much more content and happy. I know there are a lot of formula fed babies that are happy and fine, but I want to breastfeed her so bad, but I'm only doing it at night now, because I feel like I'm starving her if I dont give her formula. I feel like a failure, like I did something wrong and it's breaking my heart. Has anyone else had this problem? Am I doing the right thing by not breastfeeding anymore?
