I have a 6 week old , I have tried to put him to the breast and every time I do this he screams. I have been pumping any ideas on getting him to nurse?

Have you tried different positions to hold him? Sometimes that makes a huge difference. Football hold, cradle, cross-cradle, lying down... One gal in one of these forums said her child nursed best when not belly-facing-mommy, which is unusual, but if it works it's great. So maybe mess with other positions, and perhaps even start with a little bit of a bottle of expressed milk if he's taking it and then transition to the breast so it's less urgent that he latch correctly quickly.
