Nature knows more than you and me. When you feel hungry eat. Make sure you drink lots of water. If you are concerned about your weight..start walking now that it is getting nice outside. If you are more active you will lose weight.

Like Carolyn said, make sure you are eating healthy foods, especially when you snack and what you drink. I eat more then my husband half the time for meals (he's 6'3"!) and sometimes could go back for more! I think the key is to see when you're eating badly. I have to keep fresh fruit and yogurt and water around for snacking and drinkin otherwise I'll eat something really bad or have a soda. I did join Curves and try to hit Zumba once a week. My son is still young enough to sit and play while I exercise. It's going slowly but I'm getting to my weight goals and you will too!

There is no guarantee that breastfeeding will help you lose weight. It might help, but never kid yourself that you'll definitely lose weight! Just keep on with a healthy, well-balanced diet and plenty of exercise.

Unfortunately Breastfeeding makes you HUGRY, like never before. Sometimes I feel like I growl when my husband takes too much food. But my SIL is a registered Dietitian and highly recommends just counting your calories like on livestrong or something. Just make sure since you are breastfeeding you get at least 1800 calories a day and don't try to lose weight too fast (no more than 2 pounds a week.) or you can lose your supply.

if you arent losing weight while nursing, you are eating enough calories :)

nursing burns on average 500 calories a day, sometimes more. Through pregnancy our body goes into fat storing mode to save up an excess of calories to use while nursing.

eat a healthy well balanced diet and exercise as regularly as you can.

I have been nursing for 10 months and still have 15 lbs to lose, and really just nursing alone isnt cutting it. My weight loss started when I joined weighwatchers and started doing zumba. And I am kind of stuck where i am ( ive slacked on the weightwatcher bit which is a big reason) but some people do hang onto a few extra pounds until they wean.

I thinks its natures way of protecting our babies against times a famine ( historically) by making sure we have enough fat stores to sustain nursing.
