Watch her dairy intake and also things like bananas and foods that promote constipation. Also, water helps. Good Luck!

I would also suggest trying to get her to re-latch. Even some breastmilk will be MUCH better for her digestive system than none! It's a supply and demand system - if you nurse more often your supply will increase - as you cut back the feeds, your supply declines. Have you tried Domperidone? Your doctor can prescribe it to increase your supply.

That happened with my son and it turned out he needed prosobee formula. He was lactose intolerant. We tried him on 5 different formulas before that one and it worked great! I was nervous he would always be lactose intolerant but he was over it by the time he was 1. I would definitely talk to your doctor about it.

Hi sarah,
I know it is the best thing for her, the problem was my milk cant keep up with her. I was starting to dry up.

I would skip the sugar and just do plain water, you will be suprised how quickly and easy it helps things out.

1/2 to 1 teaspoon of brown sugar in 30ml warm water before each feed. should work after 2 times. novolac has a formula for constipation that really works well.

Hi.
Breastmilk is best for babies and constipation is another risk involved in formula feeding. It is harder for babies to digest. I would see your Dr. Is there anyway you can continue breastfeeding?
