I stop breast feeding, Can I restart my breast milk?

I was told by an emerg. doctor that I was making my baby sick because she was lactose intolerant we have just recently found out that she is not Lactose intolerant and I would love to start breast feeding her again. I have heard rumors that it is possible to even breastfeed adopted babies. Just wondering if anyone know how I can restart my milk supply?

First thing I'd do is start taking fenugreek, get the baby back on your breast as often as possible, and talk to a lactation consultant because they will be able to help you get your breastmilk going again too.

YES you can start breast feeding again. Just nurse a lot and eventually your milk will start coming in again. The longer you have been not nursing the longer it will take but it should come back.



And... that ER doctor is rediculous because breast milk is not like dairy from a cow and would not make the baby sick unless you yourself consumed A LOT of dairy yourself.
