When my son was 6-8 weeks he was diagnosed with ftt but it was later found to not be that at all. He has slow gastric emptying and a severe case of reflux. Well before the final diagnosis they MADE me give him formula telling me that my milk was the problem which we now know is not the case. Well he is only getting 1-2 feeds a day of it and I want to get him to eliminate it all together. How do I go about doing this? He is now 3 months and 2 weeks old and he is 12 lbs 4 oz. So he is healthy. He nurses about 10 times a day and co-sleeps too. He has a wonderful latch and loves to nurse.

I would say just nurse him when you would normally give him formula. You may not have a full feeding worth of milk at that time in the beginning but your body will catch on very quickly. Don't worry if he refuses and skips a feeding until you catch up. Nursing 10 times a day should sustain him. My daughter is almost 5 months and has never nursed more than 8 times in a 24 hour period, even from birth (she is EBF). In fact since about 3 months, she only nurses 6 times a day on average since she sleeps at night. Kudos for you for wanting to get rid of the formula. Most moms that have babies that nurse that often this long are looking to go the other way.
