I am nursing a 5 month old and have been taking Motherlove "More Milk Plus" to increase my supply. I am not in to herbs but love the results. My sister suggested Motherlove "Goats Rue" to take as well and it does the same thing. Has anyone used it? Do you recommened it? Any adverse reactions from it? Any thoughts on the matter would be helpful!

Make sure you are getting enough water. Also Mother's Milk Tea. You can try Fenugreek tea as well, but I thought it tasted awful, so I'd recommend smelling before you buy!
I made these oatmeal cookies, which I think helped as well:
LACTATION COOKIES
27 min | 15 min prep
4 1/2 dozen
1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
4 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons flax seed meal (get at natural foods store/section)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups oats
1 cup butterscotch chips (or chocolate, if you prefer)
2-4 tablespoons brewer's yeast (get at natural foods store/section; NOT the yeast typically used for baking)
Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix the flaxseed meal and water and let sit for 3-5 minutes.
Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar well.
Add eggs and mix well.
Add flaxseed mix, cinnamon, and vanilla, beat well.
In separate bowl, sift together flour, brewers yeast, baking soda, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to butter mix.
Stir in oats and chips.
Scoop onto baking sheet.
Bake for 12 minutes. Cool on wire rack.

My midwife told me to drink a beer when my milk supply waslow. The yeast in the beer is suppose to increase milk supply. I also increase my water consumption.
