my 5 yr old has had a sickness bug, and after all the cleaning, i think i may be getting it 2. Is it still ok to bf my 10 month old? or will i pass any illness on to her? it's omly a 24 hour thing. but it's quite a messy one, and i wouldn't like to give it to her.

We had the flu bug go around here really bad. It was a 11 hours or so of vomiting and diareah. EVERYONE got it that came to my house. I have a daycare and every child at some point had it. My 18 month old BF ed babe was the only one who wasen't really sick. She vomited 1 time and never acted sick or had diareah. I never stopped Bfing although while I was sick she was quite concerned and pretty much left me alone :)

Yes, nurse her. It will give her antibodies like Nikki said. Just be sure to really wash your hands and not cough/sneeze near your baby.

it's actually the best thing for your baby, she'll get all those antibodies your body makes and keep her from getting sick.
