I have recently qualified as a breastfeeding peer support counsillor, in Hereford with the LLL, and enjoyed doing the course but unfortunatly now the goverment wont come up with funding to continue our work. So it feels, a little bit of a waste of time, as we wont be able to spread our knowledge to anyone but family and friends, which is such a shame. I have breastfed both of my girls for a long time and feel strongly about trying to help others in need. The ladies that were teaching us were fab and it's such a shame that they lost there jobs after we all qualified, due to shortage of money to let them continue.

my Lactation Consultant was a leader for LLL. She was just so smart and so helpful! never been to a meeting though...sorry:)
