Hello breastfeeding moms!!

I just wanted to share. On my blog The Soul Mom http://www.thesoulmom.com I have a new article... "Loving on breatfeeding... From the Mouths of Moms" where 13 moms (including me) share what they love most about breastfeeding. You can find it here http://t.co/fKfLjo1

I have also recently posted several other articles about breastfeeding including a Q & A with a lactation consultant.

Lastly, I do currently have a giveaway for free baby gear... JJ Cole and Skip Hop. http://bit.ly/at79ZA

So... what do you love most about breastfeeding? Give us all warm and fuzzies with your answers

Ive heard that when you have an older child and a younger one still nursing, the older often does want to revisit nursing and that if you say no it will make them feel replaced and less then the younger one and cause them to misbehave due to the hurt feelings.
Its awesome you let him cuz this makes him understand he is still as important as before and the new baby doesnt get more 'love' then him. great to keep sibling rivalry away too :)
Im hoping to tandem nurse Eric and our next baby so there isnt any issues.
I love the idea of using our milk in foods too, i mean why is cows milk the standard with humans anyways? We dont need to drink cows milk in the first place as long as we are geting calcium through veggies and other foods so why not? I think it would be awesome for our families health if we uused our own milk too cuz its so compatable with our systems and has all the immunities.

@ Laura,Thank you for saying that my post sounded wonderful:)Levi is 2 1/2.he weaned himself 2 months before Noah was born. Before that he'd only been nursing at bedtime and when he got up.Just recently he decided he wanted to 'try mommy milk' again.Yes,I let him.He only BFs for a minute or two, just to know Im still there for him I think.Sometimes he'll have BM out of a cup.Its so much better than cows milk for all babies and older kids too.I've added BM to pancakes and mac&chesse...Its good for them.I am becoming a True Lactivist with this last baby.I'd love to get into being a Lactation consultant .We are SuperHeros! We are feeding our future generation. How much more Super can you get? We're Awesome:0)

Ashleigh, How old is Levi? and did you let him nurse again? I think your whole post sounded so wonderful! I too am going to teach the breast as a nutrition body part as opposed to a sexual organ. I hope my son will grow into a man who will help his wife beastfeed too.

ohh and I feel like a superhero because I make the #1 best food on the planet for my son. Like I think about it and there is NOTHING that is better for him then the milk I make. So enpowering :) and I love that it burns calories too. Idk if its jjst the breastfeding but I am now 10 pounds lighter then I was pre pregnancy and I was quite skinny before too. I love my body for making food for Eric and I think its finally made me see my boobs as beautiful in stead of always noticing how they arent 'picture perfect'
they have a job now and thats more important then looking symetrical etc.
such a self estem booster to breastfeed.

I love the way all my babies have patted my breasts while nursing, their little hands are so sweet.I love the milk drunk smiles I get when my baby is full.I love the fact that I and I alone am making all those chubby little rolls on his arms and legs.I love that now that Noah is old enough he tries to get thru my shirt.I love that Levi is wanting to nurse again after being weaned for 9 months,he wants to be that close to me still.he calls it Boo-Boo Juice, lol.I love how Noah hums to himself while hes nursing, trying to stay awake but maybe saying its mmmmmm good too.I love the memories I have of my older boys nursing.I love that I'm teaching them that Boobs are OK and that Breastfeeding is what Breasts are for, they aren't just a sexual thing.I love that i am a strong woman and I can give my children what is natural and best, and I can see the benifits of EBF every single day.♥

I love it when Eric patts my breast while eating or tries to pull my shirt up to find it. Also when he is sleepy and he is wigling around trying to find the nipple it is adorable! Now he can say boob and he squeezes it when he is hungry and thats too sweet too!
