Does any one have recommendations for mailing breast milk? I have a work trip and I don't have enough supply for my baby for my entire trip. So, I'm planning to mail some home. I can't find much internet info about mailing it. It'd be cold milk that's been refrigerated but not frozen. I'd need to use the post office to send it as I'll be in a rural area w/out any FedEx or UPS nearby. Any specific instructions would be helpful.

thanks! the usps webpage wasn't working when i was trying to get info earlier. it seems like usps will handle dry ice packages. i've never dealt w/ dry ice before but i think i'll put some at the bottom of a styrofoam cooler and then put the breast milk containers on top. then put the cooler in another box. we'll see how this goes!

That's the website from the postal service on the page there is a section on liquids and how they are required to be packaged. You'll have to pack it in dry ice though to keep it cold and I'm not sure if the postal service deals with that. Businesses schedule pickups all the time with ups and fed-even in rural areas so you should explore all your options.
