Does it work? I am not getting enough when i pump so I was wondering if this stuff actually works before I go buy some! Also I read that eating a bowl of oatmeal increases your supply, any comments on that?

I was feeding my baby through my breast milk excellently but after two months suddenly my supply dropped to dead. I tried different remedies with plenty of water intake and breast massage but it was not going up until I started drinking an organic lactation tea called healthy nursing tea. It helped a lot.

I use this Mother Tea called Yogi Tea Woman's Nursing Mom it's USDA Organic and I love it. I also eat oatmeal every morning if I can. But just because you think you're not pumping enough doesn't mean anything. If your little one is happy when he eats you're good. Remember the type of pump you use can make a difference and how often you are pumping makes a difference too! Good Luck!

Hi Laura, I have used the tea off and on as needed. I was able to get it at GNC or the local grocery store in the regular tea section. I found that even one cup a day helped me get over the little hurdle, so start with that and add extra cups as needed. I liked that better than experimenting with other natural remedies. It was also recommended by the lactation specialist so I trusted it.

Herbs are hit-and-miss really. Best way to increase your supply is get baby on breast as often as you can.

Pumping isn't as efficient as your baby is, doesn't stimulate your breasts like baby does, and won't give a good indication of your supply.

Fenugreek supplements work also. Non-alcoholic beer also. The tea you can get at GNC or other health type places, I'd try nursing on demand for a while, sleep with your baby too (at naps if you don't want him in your bed) skin to skin contact helps your milk supply too. Good luck!!

Well number 1 what you pump is no indication of your supply because a nursing baby is more effective than any pump. I can vouch though that the mother's milk tea really works well, but you have to drink many cups of it a day like 3-5 a day for it to be effective and it needs honey to sweeten it to make it palatable. Any questions let me know.
