hi! my baby was born tongue tied and was clipped at 12 days. I tried breastfeeding but he used to fight at the breast. My lactation consultant advised to use a nipple shield and i tried with that but no help. After 1 month i stopped using bottle n just gave my breast but he could not suck efficiently though he had started accepting breast and in 1 week he did not gain weight so again i had to start his bottles. Now he is 2.5 month and again when i m trying on my breast he fights constantly. he wants only bottles..i badly want to breastfeed and have no issues with milk supply..i am pumping and giving em through bottle. please help me.will i be able to breastfeed my baby??

Try putting a nipple from the bottle over your nipple.
My pediatrician recommended this to me when I was having painful nipples in the beginning ... For some women it works better than a nipple shield.
Also, since he has been using the bottle he is likely to latch on to you this way.
