I would like to get my Virgina to take at lest one battle of formula a day, so i can get out for more than an hr with out worrying she will get upset while i am gone and get to worked up so who ever is watching her can do anything to comfert her. How can i do this, my other 3 didnt have this problem with.

Have you tried letting someone else give her the bottle? Maybe even leave the house for a short time while they try it. Babies are pretty smart and a lot of times won't take a bottle when they know the breast is there. Also you might try different size/shaped nipples to see if she prefers a different kind. Make sure they are slow flow nipples as those are best for breastfeeding babies.

You need to slowly mix formula and breast milk. I had to start with 1 oz formula and 3 oz breast milk. Slowly increast the amount of formula. This does take some time. Plus, If you have the person whom is feeding her the bottle either snuggle the baby close or try holding her different than you do when you nurse. This is not an easy task for you or your child and takes lots of patients your part and the bottle givers part. If this doesn't work, you may just need to find time to express and extra bottle.

she varies, she is eating solid foods but still nursing 5 or so times a day, a lot of the time it is for comfurt and i cant get her to comfert her self in any other way.

I guess the better question would be how do i get her to take a bottle at all. I have tryed to express but cant get enough.

I agree, I would express of a bottle of your own milk, formula is just not the same. My dd wouldn't even take a bottle of breastmilk, let alone formula. She would only drink straight from the breast. If you can't express milk, maybe trying feeding her right b/f you go out. How long is she going b/w feeds?

Why does she need formula? You cannot express one bottle of your own milk?
