I second the Fenugreek. Real oatmeal every morning also helps. I had this same problem when I started back to work and my child was only 13 weeks. Both of these things helped me. You could also check the Kellymom website as it has tons of information.

Your milk supply slowing down could be affected by your daughter eating solids early, hence not nursing enough to keep your supply up. Just a thought.

Go to http://www.motherlove.com/

Go to store locator

put in your info and you will find a store near you.

It is an herb. Some health food stores usually have it in your area. or breastfeeding/lactation/bra stores.

I would suggest taking shitavarie if your milk supply is slowing down. It's all natural and works wonders, there are no side effects other than some gas for you (this is rare and did not happen to me). 1 capsule 4 times a day. You should start to see an increase around day 3 of taking it. It is available online. How much are you pumping and what is your pumping schedule like? It may be that you need to tweak the pumping a bit. What kind of a pump are you using?

my daughter is also 5 months, our pediatrician advised to start on solids (I am doing mostly rice cereal mixed in with breastmilk), this helps with the qty required for each feeding. Are you pumping often (if you don't pump then feed her more often, that stimulates the flow....some days my supply is low then it goes back to normal so don't worry too much, also drink plenty of water). Good luck!
