Hi everyone,
So I am proud to say my baby is 2 months now and has never tasted formula :) I am very fortunate to have a decent supply of milk, he was 8lbs 4 oz and is now 12lbs 9 oz !! My concern is that I am starting back to work and I am so worried my milk will decrease. To get some rest at night, I pump and hubby gives him his bottle for me, so if I pump it at 11 pm and he wakes up at 230am and the not again till 530am, this is a long time between my feedings.. I don't want my body to think I don't need the milk in the middle of the night, but if I were to get up and pump, it defeats the purpose of getting sleep, right ?? Any suggestions? Also, he will only latch on for like 10 minutes every 3 hours usually. Tons of wet diapers (at least 8 a day-soaked) and poops at least once a day, is 10 minutes okay? Should I pump the other side every time he eats, this would be 6 hours till he gets back to that side and only eats for 10 minutes.. help

Relax! Your doing great. I think every mom goes through this at some point thinking they do not have enough supply or will decrease. My lacatation counselor told me to not go more than 5 hrs without a feeding or pumping session. So your doing fine!

My daughter only breastfeeds from me for about 10 mins. She is a barracuda and just guzzles it down. This may be the case for you also which is great!

When you go back to work. Just make sure to pump about every 3 hrs and you'll be fine. Your body will adjust. My daughter is 10 months and i'm still breastfeeding.

Don't worry mommy your doing great!
