Ok so my daughter just hit 8 weeks and for about three has only been waking up only once at night around 3 or 4pm. Recently (last few nights) though after she finishes feeding she will act like she isn't done but refuses to keep eating... Instead she wants to be smiling, playing, or beinging held. She was sick this past week with a common cold and I wonder if that has anything to do with it?

I used to just feed her and put her back in her crib and things were great, but now it's a long ordeal... Any advice?

As hard as it is to ignore the smiles, keep the feeds very unstimulating, so low lighting, no talking to her, just get her, change her, give her her feed then put her back to bed. She will soon get the message that nights are not the time to play with mommy ( even though it is hard not to!) Being sick can through the usual routine into a spin so just keep things consistent now that she is better and she should soon be back on track good luck
