Ladies, I still do not have my period and I am starting to wean Eli. My LMP was March 18th and I havent had one since. Than's bad, right? lol. I have done 6 PT's already and they were all nagitive. I will not take another pregnancy test until next week. then I will keep you posted on what the heck might be wrong with me. And streas has lowered significantly since 2 weeks ago so I dont know the cause any more. ANY IDEAS?

soetimes it takes a bit longer than the time you have allowed for there to be enough pregnancy hormone in your system to show up on a urine test. wait a week or so an try again. good luck x

I always considered myself extremely lucky to go without a period while nursing...even when I stopped at one year I still waited several more before my period started again! I did once get pregnant before my period started again..and was rather amused to answer the question,"when was your last period?" with, " almost two years ago! LOL Anyway, I say relax and enjoy the respite. Test again if you are still not having one next month, use morning urine, that IS when the hormone concentration is highest so you can be sure. Rest assured it can happen and not having your period can be normal. Seek medical advice if you really are anxious or are in pain other than that crampy feeling that tells us all that one's period is imminent...and don't worry about pregnancy. If you are, it will make itself known...and you can always test before the month is out if you feel you are. I have six children and I always look forward to my long respite! My youngest is 3mos. Periods will never be completely back on track until you have weaned her. I wouldn't worry too much if you don't have any other symptoms of pregnancy.

My period was due on April 24th and I did blood tests and home pregnancy tests every day since then and all have either shown no lines or negative. Even the blood tests came back inconclusive! I'd say go to the doctors and find out. Best of luck and I hope you get the answer you hoped for.

haha, thanks Liz, that actually helps me out. My daughter started throwing up after her solid meals so I had to start feeding her smaller meals and as a result she's been nursing more so that might explain the lack of period for me, at least. But another thing I noticed was just prior to my periods stopping, my boobs started producing so much they were squirting milk and leaking on my nightgowns over night... and that hadn't happened since my daughter was 8 weeks old (she's now one)

Has he been feeding more lately? If he has, it may have caused a hormone surge and just made your period stop again for this month. Could be stress.

Well Stress is a sure factor but I am NOT on birth control.

I am in a very similar situation!!!!!

I'm breastfeeding my one-year-old and when she was 7 months old I got my period back. However, mine wasn't regular, it lasted like three weeks if you include the spotting! Anyway, from the time she was 7-9 months I got my period, but now I haven't had my period in three months! After every missed period I took a pregnancy test (I'm on low-hormone birth control) and all three have come back negative... but still no period!

I have also lost 5 pounds and am back to my prepregnancy weight of 113 pounds, so I think maybe weight-loss and stress has attributed to my loss of period. Do you think it might be something like that in your case?

I have a 1 1/2 yr old son and when I was pregnant with him, I also felt no illness at all. was a wonderful pregnancy!!!

i think this is a hormone dip and nothing more. 4 pregnancy tests can not be wrong after all this time. if you are not feeling ill then I would not worry about it. When you do get medical insurance then go and have some blood work done to give you peace of mind that this is probably just a hormone surge.
