My daughter will be 4 months march 4th. She has been breastfed since birth and i have had no problems with her wanting it. Lately she has cried and cried but refuses the breast then only eats for a couple of mins then cries again until i lift her up. Could this mean she is teething or just going through a stage or maybe wants more than boobie milk? Im worried shes not getting enough everyday. Any ideas?

It could be teething, or it could be a growth spurt. If you're worried about her milk intake then start counting diapers. If there are less wet diapers than normal, then you should be concerned and maybe supplement with a bottle of expressed breastmilk, but if her diapers are normal then she's probably just going through a growth spurt or something. Solids are NOT needed at all until a year old, and should not be introduced before 6mos at the earliest! Good luck ♥

Babies will constantly change their eating habits. Sounds like your daughter is just going through a phase. When my daughter is not feeling her best, she will latch on but not nurse at all and then other times she nurses like a starved animal! You will probably experience the same thing when you start giving her solids....she will be a great eater one day and then the next day she will reject everything. It's a constant struggle. Just keep breast feeding as long as possible for your babies health. She'll come around, do not worry! :)

it is just a stage. it will pass. no worries..she is getting enough from mommy. you are all she needs until 6 months, then can start giving her food. but if you wanted to, you could EBF her until she is a year old. babies don't need solids before that. the saying goes "solids for fun until they're one"
