I have found the only breast pads that work well for me are the Lansinoh pads. I leak straight through any others I've tried, but the Lansinoh ones are more expensive! Does anyone know where I can get coupons for those products or have a suggestion of a cheaper pad that works well like those do?

The lansioh pads worked the best the only cost saver I ever used was during the day when baby eats often i would use the less absorbant pads, because I leak so much less, than at night, or when i was out and fed him a bottle of breastmilk I would wear the Lansioh ones. Even though they are a little more exspensive I have to change them so much less often its worth it. Also as baby gets older (my little man is 6 months) i have to change them less and less

I too am normally top heavy and when pregnant i get up to G-H sizes. I allso found these Johnson and Johnson pads to be great. I have used cloth washable one from Medela I like them as well.

I used Lansinoh religiously with my first daughter, but they irritated me with my second so I switched to cloth. Yes, those with the PUL liner do prevent leaks, I love that I just wash and wear again, and they have helped prevent the yeast I was prone to the first time. I bought pads by Dr. Brown's (loved 'em and now can't find them), Ameda (small but okay), and some organic thingy that I am glad I wasn't using early on when I leaked the most. I love the Dr. Brown's because they are large, actually don't appear as bulky, and fit well in bras or nursing tanks. The smaller one's you can see the ring of the pad through most bras and shirts; at times I feel like a 'fembot' but I don't care.

I used and loved Johnsons. I found then the thickest and softest and never felt wet. I got then at Target, 60 pads for 6 dollars I think.

i actually like the cloth diapers! i fold them into squares and they work awesome! when they do get soiled, i can toss them in the wash w/the rest of the baby clothes! they are a little bulky, but i dont mind especially at night when i tend to leak a little more. also doubles as a burp cloth!

my favorite pads were the MOM ones from Babies R Us. they were thick and absorbed a lot and they weren't expensive.

My favorite ones were the Medela cloth pads. They have an absorbant inner core, but a sort of mesh cover on one side to help you keep dry and a PUL layer on the other to help stop any leak through. You can wash them in with your normal wash. Wool covers are also very nice, but more expensive.

Rebecca -- thanks for your input! I will look for those as well. Hard to be TMI when the topic is breast feeding, you know. :)

JOHNSON & JOHNSON!!!! i know this might be a little too much info but i am pretty top heavy. since ive had my daughter i went up to an F cup...ridiculous i know...but i tried every brand of nursing pads imagineable...the johnson and johnson have adhesive that actually sticks, they form around ur breast and theyre really thick. since i produce quite a bit of milk i was leaking all the time, but as soon as i bought these i havent leaked once. theyre about $7 but the pack lasts me for 2-3 weeks. and if ur not as top heavy maybe even longer. trust me, dont waste ur money on the expensive brand. ive also found coupons before for johnson and johnson. try them out!! :D

I like the Lansinoh pads as well, but i love the Medela pads! I understand about feeling dry, I leak like a faucet, LOL! Try the Medela pads, sometimes target has them on sale. I got like 80 pads for 4 bucks! Also try freecycle in your area. Google it and sign up. its totally FREE!

Do the Johnson and johnson ones stay feeling dry like the Lansinoh ones? The other cottony thick kinds I've used feel wet so quickly.

WOW! That helps big time! I've gone through all the ones I got as shower gifts. I now know they are the most helpful shower gifts possible after diapers! :)
