Nursing Strike

My baby is just now 8 months old and he has been on a nursing strike for over a month now. He is teething and I think the position of nursing hurts him. He will take a bottle in a more upright position. He had slowed down quite a bit with nursing after we introduced solids, but I don't think he is ready to be weaned (I know I am not ready for it! : ) Now my supply is way down. I just wondered if it is possible to get my supply back up so I can at least pump for him and in hopes that he'll return to me soon. Anyone have any suggestions? Do the herbs really work?

Fenugreek does work very well and Mother's Milk Tea. I have used both of them. Have you asked the doctor about him lying down is hurting him? I have heard a lady on here say she took her baby to a chiropracter(probably not spelled right) because her baby wouldn't nurse on one side and it fixed the problem. I would offer yourself first before the bottle. You could get some advice from a Lactation Consultant...they usually help you a lot and will encourage you. Well, I hope everything works out for you.
