Do you have a breast that is larger than the other. Does your baby feed equally on both sides. My baby seems to favor my left breast and I'm not liking how it looks in my bra with one side spilling out over the top. How can I get him to nurse more on the right. Could something be wrong with my right breast?

It is normal. My right side is also larger than my left and he has a preference for the left. Sometimes I trick him by laying on my belly in bed and giving him the right instead of the left, and that works sometimes. Of course, the right also produces more, but not much I can do about it! Your milk production will even itself out according to how they nurse, so eventually it won't be as noticable.

My baby only feeds on the left side, no matter how much I try to give her the right breast. I am super lop sided right now, but I figured both will be the same again once she stops nursing, so it is only a temporary cosmetic issue, and nothing to be concerned about.

I agree with offerring the less favorite first, and just be patient, yet persistant, baby may fuss, but will give in if you hold out and don`t get stressed

I think this is pretty normal for babies to have a favorite and Ramona's advice about offering the "less popular" breast first is a good idea. My son always favored my left breast and eventually at 11 months he began refusing it completely. He's now 2 1/2 and has still only nursed from my left breast since he was 11 months!

My left side is always a lot bigger and it produces more (at least when I pump) My left one will give 4oz and the right only about 2. I heard and have read in research that its perfectly normal. I also read to try starting on the smaller side more often and then after giving the other side try the smaler side again.

I have heard that this often happens to women. It may be that your right side isn't producing milk, or if it is its not producing alot. I would recommend seeing a lactation nurse at your hospital, they can probably be a great help to you if this is your first time. I spoke with one when I had my daughter and it helped me out.
