I heard that women who breastfeed can go without periods for 6 months or longer. I am breastfeeding and I had a period last month but this month I am late. Is it possible to have a period one month while breastfeeding and then stop having them?

Thank you so much, Melissa! I have really been stressing out about it. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one going through this and that it is common to be irregular.

Yes! It is driving me nuts! I am exclusively BF and I got my period at 8 weeks pp, then again at 10 weeks, and now I am 15 weeks and nothing! Apparently it is normal (not common, but normal) to have your period so early. And also very normal (and common) to have an irregular cycle afterwards! I wish I could give you some hope as to when it regulates, but I think we're in the same boat.
