hi everyone , i myself have suffered postnatal depression and have found little support out there so i have made a group on facebook PLEASE support it ! we need to stick together as mothers! Just type in SUPPORT GROUP FOR POSTNATAL DEPRESSION in the search area to find it ! thankyou

I kept trying to convince myself that i was just tired or hormonal untill i realised how different i felt compared to after my first was born and i didnt want my children to suffer. Not many family and friends know about it until now and some of the people i did open up to about it just said oh what are you depressed about and told me i didnt need medication that made me feel even worse! Please join my group (SUPPORT GROUP FOR POSTNATAL DEPRESSION) to help support other women going through the same thing as you did !

Well done You! I suffered Postnatal Depression with my second child. I felt ashamed, as if it somehow meant I didn't love my daughter. I felt there was such a stigma surrounding it that I managed to convince every-one around me that I didn't have it, even though I knew I did. Subsequently, I suffered terribly for 2yrs and still feel guilty now as I can't ever get that precious time with her back. There definately needs to be more support groups especially run by people like you that have actually experienced it. You will help alot of people.
