Hi:

My daughter is 5 months. I started giving her cereal at 4.5 months. She loves it. I prefer to use the cereal in which you add your own breastmilk in order to sweeten the bland taste for her. Also, I'm trying to get her back on the bottle (or at least take it some of the time) as she has 2 teeth and I have been bitten one too many times (my poor boobs).

I can't seem to pump enough milk. I would like about 5-6 oz, but am only getting 2-3 oz and that's after I have to get up in the middle of the night to pump. If I pump during the day it drains me, leaving not enough for her. During the day I feed her approx every 2 - 2.5 hrs.

Any suggestions as to how to produce more milk????? I'm a first time mom & I would love some advice. Thanks!!

if you try to drink more water, and have her feed maybe every hour for a week or so. some say that the more she drinks/nurses the more milk you will have. it is worth a try hun.

Fenugreek vitamins work like a charm!

The best way to increase your supply is to put your baby to the breast as often as possible.

I purchased my fenugreek from a big HEB store and I also found it at gnc. That article that I linked you to is very helpful on fenugreek.

Fenugreek has worked for many moms to increase milk supply. When you use a pump instead of your baby, your supply will naturally diminish. Mine did the same when I returned to work and had to pump for two feedings. My twins are a year old now, and when one first started getting teeth, he would frequently bite me. Just to let you know the biting does lessen! I know, it's so hard in the beginning, and you start to wince before they even bite, but it will lessen. Good luck to you!
