I use Off Family Care on my daughter, they advice I got from my health nurse was to use something that has less than 7% deet. The Off Eucalyptus says not to use it on children under 3 yrs. I was also told by a friend to go to the grocery store, buy some lemon grass, chop the end off and rub it on your baby. It makes sense since citronella is actually made from lemongrass. You could always ask your doctor what he/she reccomends.

deet is most effective, these natural options may work too •Citronella Oil
•Lemon Eucalyptus Oil
•Cinnamon Oil
•Castor Oil
•Rosemary Oil
•Lemongrass Oil
•Cedar Oil
•Peppermint Oil
•Clove Oil
•Geranium Oil
•Possibly Oils from Verbena, Pennyroyal, Lavender, Pine, Cajeput, Basil, Thyme, Allspice, Soybean, and Garlic

DEET is dangerous. And has been linked to ADHD. I was told by my doctor not to use it on children under two.

When we go to the cottage, I often just rub orange peels along my daughters arms and legs. Its safe, and works like a charm.

Check out a health store or a aromatherpy store. They will likely have a number of options. I'd stay away from anything with chemicals since their skin is so thin at this stage and all that garbage gets absorbed a lot more than in adults.
