Scratching while breastfeeding?

My daughter is almost 5 months old and is solely breastfed. Recently when feeding her she has been scratching hard at my chest and squeezing quite hard on my breasts with her hands. She isn't upset when she is doing it, but she still does it every feed lately. I am not lacking in my milk supply to her so I know that's not the problem.

I'd just like to know if its normal for her to be doing this.

My daughter's 8 months and does the same thing. I try to keep her nails cut short due to she's literally left scratches on my breast. She also grabs my breast and pinches it. It hurts and I try to stop her, but she still does it. It's usually with the hand that's on the bottom, so I can't hold her hand. I think it might be a comfort thins. She might also like to feel my skin. She loves to feel things, so I'm not sure why she does it.

my daughter is almost 14 months and she has done this for a while.. my daughter just does it as a comfort thing
