Small breasts? Even when breastfeeding

I can't understand how my baby can eat out of my tiny breasts!? Before I got pregnant, I was an A, now while breastfeeding, SOLELY breastfeeding, every 3 hours at most, for an 11 week old baby, I am still only a B! In the morning and I am engorged, I might be able to be considered a small C - but geez, am I the only one? My mom and two sisters all went up 2 cup sizes when they got pregnant and were breastfeeding - is it something I should be worried about? My baby is gaining weight and is happy after feedings - I just feel like I am not making one drop more than what she needs. Anyone else out there have small breast too? hahaha

I was an A cup prior to my first baby. Now I'm a B. I think this is mainly due to the fact that I never lost the last 10 lb's of baby weight :( It sucks that you didn't get bigger (if that is a side effect you were hoping for) but it shouldn't impede your ability to successfully breast feed & just think; you probably wont have the sagging issues larger breasted women often have after nursing a couple of kids!

I wouldn't worry about it..I am in the same boat with you. Before my first baby I was a B and went up to D. After breastfeeding I went to a A and stayed there until pregnant with 2 & 3. I got big for breastfeeding and went back down to A when I stopped. With my last one (12 weeks now) I never got past a B and am still there breastfeeding with my little B boobies! I know he is getting enough and I pump extra when I can---I do have to mix breastmilk and formula when I am at work because I can't get enough to keep him the whole time I am gone.

Don't worry about your breast size. I am large breasted to begin with but I have struggled with producing extra milk to pump and store for my 8 mth old. Breast size really has no real correlation to he amout of milk produced. We are all differant. Some womens breasts get huge while others have little to no change is breast size. Long as your baby is growing no need to worry. Your breasts work on supply and demand. Your making just the amount she needs. As she grows bigger and needs more your breasts will produce more.

I only went up 1 cup size as well - and have been paranoid the whole 7mos ive been BFing my daughter that Im not producing enough! But like you said shes gaining weight and is happy after feedings so I guess she is - still something that I always think about!

i had small boobies before i got pregnant, and they got real big afterwards (with a year of breastfeeding) but i have a friend who had an "almost A" cup and even while pregnant and breastfeeding never got bigger than an A cup but she did EBF for 12 months! i dont think its anything to worry about! your baby is happy and your body is definately going to make enough milk, the size doesnt effect the supply.
