My son is 9 months this week, and for some reason the past week or so is only into snacking. He'll eat for maybe 5 minutes, half an hour later come back for another 5....and this process goes pretty much all day unless it's nap time or bed time (then he'll nurse for 20-30 minutes). He still isn't very interested in solids and I give him a cookie (mum mum) once a day and he only eats half the cookie. Is this normal for his age?

Very normal. It can be confusing and frustrating though. Babies your son's age are quite distractible. He'll get what he needs if you continue to offer your breast frequently throughout the day. Some mothers find that going to a dark quite room can help minimize distractions.
